Forum on Sichuan Post-disaster Reconstruction and Voluntary Services was held Dec.4 in Chengdu, capital of 5.12 earthquake-hit Sichuan province. Initiated by Sichuan Committee of Chinese Communist Youth League, the forum attracted more than 300 participants from all walks of life, including about 90 representatives of 40 NGOs from across Greater China.
Invited by Sichuan Post-disaster Reconstruction Voluntary Service Co-ordination Office, I was delighted to attend the conference and made two speeches in the morning and in the afternoon. It is a golden chance to meet so many delegates of NGOs and learn their hardships and expectations.
